91- Well, I tried to pictures of the horses, but I tried AFTER I had put the feed out, and E was the only one who would pay any attention to me! Everything went well, although I missed seeing D.
Tuesday, November 18
Saturday, November 8
111- Ha! I didn't see T when I pulled up. Went in the house, opened garage door, called and called--then when I turned around he was sitting in the kitchen, looking at me like "WHAT ALREADY!!!!"
61- Sleepyheads when I got there this morning--R on the lounge chair, and C on the couch. Both stayed put, and just waited for their morning tummy rubs. Both were particularly lovey today.
Friday, November 7
61- It was good to see the boys again. Not a bark from R, except a welcoming one, and C came right over to me for me to pet him, didn't hesitate at all. YAY! The food under the tree was empty, the food on the patio still full. They ate all their dinner though.
Wednesday, November 5
113- I can't get any good pics of J or D--they seem to think my camera phone is some kind of "ray gun" and it seems to worry them. But nothing worries R! Fed fishy too. Dogs are all fine, we spent some time doing poop patrol in the backyard today.
112- All the kitties were accounted for and happy. M has been taking long (very long!) fountain drinks! I got a great pic of T today, but I thought this one was cuter. I was in her usual place, and H was in the bed tent again.
Monday, November 3
114- T was a little shy and timid at first, and I think sad when he realized it wasn't mom and dad coming in, but he got very happy when he saw me get the leash, and then I was his best friend. L played and played, but once I got the catfood, he focused totally on that!
112- I saw B today, on her way to her secret place under the bed. H stayed in his little tent, which is a baby step forward--he didn't run, even after he realized it was me, and not you. T and M were very playful in the LR.
113- All the doggies are just loving this weather--all 3 are prefering to be out doors, but very happy and frisky (even J!) and affectionate. I am SO enjoying my visits with them.
Sunday, November 2
75- Poor R must have had an upset tummy today. But not H, she was as chipper as ever. Told her you'd be home today, and I'd see her again in two weeks.
97- I am quickly falling in love with your kitty--what an absolute charmer! I don't think S appreciated the change to DST. :^) B is doing very well, and Yo Q--well, she's always excited to see the lady who gives her a treat!
113- Doggies gave me a scare today! Not a peep when I came in, and not a wet nose or a furry face to be seen! But I found all 3 outside, on the side of the house. Looked like they had a pillow party in the LR--no damage, but the pillows were all "rearranged", canine style. R, again, had to "file" his milkbone away for later consumption!
Saturday, November 1
97- Good visits, everyone is just fine. Yo Q and Polly (what I called her today since she's polydactyl--not very original, I know) were both hunting something under the pallet in the feed area. I told them NOT to chase "it" out while I was in there! B and S are both great, B comes to meet me each time, S is usually in his stall watching the world go by thru the back. I could NOT get the stall to latch properly, no matter what I tried(I couldn't get it to slide close enough to get the down bar down--I missed it by 1/8 of an inch), so I bungee'd it--it's VERY secure though.
75- R was, of course, in her hiding place, but she must have been a hungry kitty today--every bit of food was gone, gone, gone! H is looking good, and was very happy. Ate her food, took her meds--great "doggy dining table" you made her, btw :^) -- and went to bed. Although, tonight was the first time EVER I had to actually tell her "in bed", usually she just goes right in without me saying a word. But she's a good girl--I only had to say it once. And thanks for the goody bag!
113- All is well, doggies are all fine and healthy and happy. I think your sister visited today. Finally got R to sit still long enough to snap a picture--but just barely! All 3 are getting lots of love, and D is not at all shy with me anymore.
Friday, October 31
97- You forgot to tell me Kitty's name! But he's (?) adorable anyway! And purrs very loud! Yo Q REALLY wanted to steal the cat food. I see B has put on some weight--that's a good thing. S was mostly interested in his food. I closed the gate--hopefully the trick or treaters won't bother Yo Q.
113- D sat on my lap and got all kinds of lovin', while R was outside burying his treats in the yard. J laid on her bed by the door--she got very shy when I tried to take her picture!
Thursday, October 30
113- We had a wonderful visit today. D was really friendly, even more so when R was outside for a few minutes. J was calm, as usual. Everyone enjoyed their treats, and R enjoyed everyone's treats--have to keep an eye on him! :^) A small package was at the front door, I put it with the mail.
Wednesday, October 29
113- Sorry, no pic--I got too wrapped up in petting and loving and cuddling. D let me pet a little bit, licked my fingers, took a treat. J was wonderful and Rocky was boisterous and friendly! Fed the fish.
Thursday, October 16
83- Before I forget, we had rain last night, and you might want to check the ground to the right of the skimmer on the pond, as you face the house. It's not draining as well as the rest of the yard. M was not hiding today, and D and C were in GREAT moods. Told them all you'd be home very soon!
112- OH my! M was a very happy, playful boy today. He kept dropping and rolling at my feet everywhere I walked. Both litter boxes were totally unused today...hmmm...... Everyone else was fine, as usual :^)
Wednesday, October 15
83- Well, little M made me search high and low for her today! I even went upstairs, worried that one of her "siblings" might have opened a door up there. But I found her, under the little table in between the stairs and the armoire (or is it a buffet?) The package arrived today, I brought it into the entry way. D was originally in this picture (along with the toe of my shoe) but he was moving--mouthing the toy--and he got blurry. Sorry!
Tuesday, October 14
112- I told them all you'd be home tomorrow! M was very playful today, rolling around and following me. Both T and I were upstairs, H was in his favorite hidey place, in the closet.
83- Poor C! She didn't want me to leave today--ran infront of me when she saw I was headed to the alarm and sat right in front of me. Awwww!
Monday, October 13
112- First time I've found T upstairs. H was under the bed with I. I think the location in this pic is Merlin's "Fine, I know you're getting ready to leave" place, because that's where he always goes near the end of my visit. T looked at me like I was out of my mind when I went back 30 minutes after I left (I realized it was trash day tomorrow, so I went back in to get the bottles for recycling).
83- Boy, was D talkative today! They spent most of my visit on the deck, watching me at the koi pond ans watering the plants. Inside, D kept following me and meowing, I finally figured out he wanted me to get one of the string toys--he's really active this trip. Took out trash bin and recycling--I think they're doing a normal schedule despite Columbus Day.
Sunday, October 12
112- I peeked thru the door window before I made any noise today and both H and I were together in the entry way--of course, they bolted when they heard the key, although H kind of stutter-bolted, waiting to see if it might be you coming in!
83- So, you'll see this in the notes when you get home, but "someone" got into the broom closet. D looked me square in the eyes and didn't blink, while C had that "WHO, ME????" look on her little face!
Saturday, October 11
112- Whew! Got eyes on all four kitties today--I feel much better! M has been very good about taking his meds. H was EXACTLY where you said he'd be, and I is in the same spot every day. T is usually on the bed, and M is where ever he wants to be!
83- D has played with me every day so far! Today they all went out on the deck while I was outside. M watched us all play, but didn't participate. The koi pond looks great, the bottom level was full, and the fish were gathered in there -- I'm not sure you can see them in the picture, but I tried!
81- All is well at your house. J scared me this morning--he was sleeping so soundly in his dog house I had to go in and wake him. Sc is SO loveable, and snuggly and purr-y. Sm let me pet him a few strokes this morning, but not a lot.
Friday, October 10
81- Hmmm...tried hard to get J to look at me, but when he did I wasn't ready! This was the best I could do today. M was more than helpful, and everything is going well. Sm ate this morning, didn't eat much this evening. Sc ate both times, and thouroughly enjoyed his meals!
83- Nice visit today, everybody was very playful. D's foot seem to be fine, although there was no bandage on it--but he was jumping and walking normally. No delivery today.
112- Well, T hid so well from me today I wondered if I saw him yesterday, or if H was doing double duty! M took his meds, H and M played with the toy on on a stick, and I glared at me from under the bed!
Thursday, October 9
112- Everyone was fine when I got there. H and M came out and visited, I and T did not. M ate some canned food and his meds, and got his "fountain" drink.
81- Everything went fine, Meagan was coming across when I got there. Sc stayed in, after eating a good bit of food, and Sm stayed out, we put some dry and some wet food out for him. J was wonderful, as usual. Left the old keys on the counter, just in case you wanted them.
83- What happened to D's paw? He seemed in good spirits, even played with C and I. M was very comfortable, and all 3 kitties were hanging out together under the DR table. Feels odd not feeding the turtles--I miss doing it!
Monday, September 29
93- Everyone is doing just fine, and pretty much behaving. Bart and Louise did go off on a little adventure yesterday evening. Today was great again though!
Saturday, September 27
93- All is well in your household--although E seems to have her complaints! What a fiesty ol' bird she was today! Kitties are happy (although I do believe they miss the bed you had on the table a long time ago, and the dogs are just peachy. I have to say--at first I thought you were foolin' when you said L would come around, but she sure has. Everyone is doing well staying in the yard (for the most part!!!!)
Friday, September 26
93- Everyone was just wonderful...now, they did knock the gate down, because I took too long reading your note! LOL. And poor Ba, did not want to walk across the downed gate, and it took me a minute to realize he was not out there with the rest of us. But they all stayed where they were supposed to and behaved very well. Didn't take any new pics today, tho' so this is a re-run, I believe.
Sunday, September 21
74- Well, M used your voice today to tell J to "Hush!" I looked up, thinking you had come home early! I told them all you'd be home sometime tonight, they seemed satisfied with that. C was particularly affectionate today.
Saturday, September 20
74- Everyone had a great time today, even with the neighbor's party--which really wasn't too loud. J let me do head scratches!
Friday, September 19
74- Well, I missed having G there, but C seemed very, very happy. M was a lot quieter than usual, perhaps she was ready for bed by the time I got there. J was a little grouchy.
Sunday, August 24
109- I'm not sure exactly what M was trying to tell me here, but it was a happy thought! (Thankgoodness for cameras on cell phones. Hold your arm out and click!)He really didn't want to get off my lap when it was time to feed him, and the birds. I gave the birds a new millet spray today, as a treat for being friendly. LOL.
Saturday, August 23
95- Okay, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure L doesn't EVER move the back of the couch, except to eat and potty. EVER!!!!!
70- Fed the fishes, and looked all over the house for S. I checked in cupboards, under furniture, behind things--he's a really good hider, better than I am a finder. The other kitties all followed me around like it was a game. When I got there, L and M were sleeping together--very cute. But when I was ready to leave, M had found a new spot.
109- M was snoozing in the spare bedroom, we hung out for a while. He really likes to sit in the hollow of my legs when I sit cross-legged on the floor. I got the two little eggs out today--she wasn't pleased with me.
Friday, August 22
70- Everyone appeared to be fine, although S did not appear at all. I did check behind the fridge! C seems much more comfortable, although she did sneeze a few times, and Ju was more loveable than ever--and so was L, now that I think about it. The trumpet lilies are gorgeous!
109- Well, if you look in the bottom right corner of the pic, you can see the little surprise(s) the 'tiels had for me today!! M was just as surprised as I was. LOL.
Thursday, August 21
95- L was waiting for me when I got there tonight--she jumped right up to go eat. She really is behaving well, and I know she's waiting anxiously to join the rest of the family. This is not the best picture, she was washing up after eating and kept moving.
111- We had wonderful weather, and I think T was out having an adventurous time and enjoying the non-rainy day. He was not around when I got there, but came in while I was getting his food ready. He seemed to have forgiven me for yesterday. WE made it thru the whole sit without any presents in the garage! YAY!
109- So, I'm going all around, calling M, checking hidey spots--and he's smack dab in the livingroom, watching me and (I believe) chuckling to himself. Pretty smoochy, purred up a storm.
Wednesday, August 20
111- It rained hard most of the day, but by evening it had stopped. So my guess is T stayed in most of the day. I was a little later than usual getting there (I was teaching pet first aid to church youth group) and he was not pleased with me! He would not come in with me, just rolled around in the driveway. He did let me scratch his head a bit, then he would remember he was mad at me, and get up and walk away.
Tuesday, August 19
Monday, August 18
111- T was waiting in the drive, walked to the front door with me, and meowed at me the whole time. We spent a little time together in the house, then a little more out in the grass. He's eating fine.
Sunday, August 17
Saturday, August 16
Friday, August 15
Wednesday, August 13
95- Visited with L today--she was snuggly, as usual. Eagerly awaited her treat food, then sat on the floor with me for a while. Give F and D a great big hug --and, oh yeah-tell S I said hi too!
83-BREAKTHROUGH! M let me pet her and pick her up while she was out on the porch. D was in a particularly friendly disposition today also--which was odd, because C was a little stand-offish. Maybe D said it was his turn! I had to laugh at the turtles (I wrote this in the note at your house, too, but I just have to share)--the big one takes the food right off the spoon!
Monday, August 11
83- A picture is worth a thousand words, so...
D was very mellow upon my arrival...
Sunday, August 10
83- All is well in your household, and in the pond--no fishes tangled where they shouldn't be. And the turtles were very, very active today.
83- Well, all 3 kitties were together in the livingroom, when I arrived, but M quickly jumped and hid--I heard a thud and saw a tail go running off! I think I got some cute pics of D and C--haven't downloaded them yet.
77-V got quite a bit of exercise today, and B had her cheeks full of food when I left. She hasn't chewed on any sticks though.
Friday, August 8
77-Has V learned some new whistles? I thought I heard some unfamiliar ones. He was singing up a storm when he heard the key in the lock. He came out on my shoulder, but only for a short while. I'm guessing you guys were up early this morning, because he climbed back into his cage shortly after I got there, and was a little grumpy after that. I bet he's in better spirits tomorrow morning.
91-Everyone was fine, horses and E quite well-behaved today, as a matter of fact. Like I told M on the phone, I did not see the peacock, but I wasn't "searching", y'know?. Shocked myself (LOL!!!) but no big deal--got 2 eggs, so it all evens out :^) D was fine, had eaten all his food, the kitties must have been deep in the shade somewhere.
109- Oh my goodness--I think Mac has got to be one of the MOST affectionate of any of my client kitties! He is just so, so sweet. Told him you'd be home very soon!
Thursday, August 7
109-I know you'll be relieved to know that Mac and I have bonded REALLY well. I have to take care of all the business (scooping and feeding everyone) as soon as I get there, because he spends the rest of the time on my lap or on my chest, purring and head-butting, and smooching. (And did I mention drooling? He seems to drool more the happier he is!) I sent you a pic from my phone the other day, not sure if you got it.
Sunday, August 3
109- Mac and I had a really nice visit today. I found his hidey place yesterday, so yesterday and today I laid on the floor in the bedroom, and he was oh-so-snuggly! After that snuggle fest I carried him in to the kitchen to eat, but all he wanted to do was sit on my lap on the couch and purr away. A & G are doing well too. I bought some more seed for them, and they've stopped hissing at me ;^)
Thursday, July 31
109-I met your neighbor yesterday, C.H., who had come over to see if you had gone to the meeting about mineral leasing rights. Quite a talker! Watered plants, front and back--it's been so hot and no rain.
Monday, July 28
109
No sign of M today, but his food was eaten and the litter box used, so I'm sure he's there somwhere! The birds were more friendly today. Watered the plants on the back patio--we've had two days of triple digit temps! I so envy you being where you are right now!
Sunday, July 27
109
M is just fine, met me at the door and let me pet him--but disappeared when I was getting his canned food. A and G --one of them was hissing at me, but I'm not sure which one--but they weren't stressed or anything. I think it was more just for show!
Saturday, July 5
110
M and G are doing great, waiting at the door now when I drive up, but tails are wagging and tonight not a single bark. No accidents on the stairs (I checked) and they seem very happy. M is taking her meds without a problem.
75
H didn't eat all her breakfast this morning, but she did eat all her dinner. Didn't seem any the worse for wear after the fireworks last night.
83
Sorry I interuppted your trip with the call...but I figured better safe than sorry! Everyone is fine, haven't noticed ANY animosity between the kitties, and SB is his chipper self.
Friday, July 4
75
Poor H--the neighborhood fireworks had her going. Everytime one went off she would run around the yard barking and growling. It was really strange to me, because she is normally the quietest of my charges! Couldn't even eat her dinner outside, they distracted her so. So I brought her food inside, and coaxed her to eat in there. She settled right down in her crate though--hopefully inside she won't be able to hear them over the fan. R of course, did not appear to be fazed.
110
Had a great first visit with M and G, and the night visit went just as easily. They played, they pooped, they ate, and G got her tummy rubbed. Neither gave me any difficulty getting into their crates.
83
All the kitties are just fine, and so is SB. D was very aloof today...I had to go look for him, and he didn't move a muscle the whole time I was there, just glared at me. M was on D's typical perch, on the stair landing. I hel C for awhile--so easy to see why they're called ragdolls!
83
C, D, and new M are doing very well. It took me a minute to find M last night--I was looking upstairs, and she was downstairs. All the kitties came out on the new porch while I was watering--well, C only came half way out, just laid across the threshhold. LOVE the new pond!
75
Silly H-has a full bowl of water outside, but waits till I get there to come inside and drink like she's been in the Mojave desert for a week! Both are doing just fine.
Wednesday, July 2
75
Met your across-the-street neighbor with the Chihuahua. Took home some tomatoes and a pepper, but didn't see any okra or cukes....but then I'm not sure exactly of what I'm looking for! H was frisky, more so tonight than this morning. This morning she only played a little, then went to chill under the deck. R, of course was chillin' under the bed.
Tuesday, July 1
Wednesday, May 28
108
Really nice visit with the dogs today. G was a little calmer, and sat on my lap for a while, a couple different times. He was happy as long as I was scratching his back. S and J zoomed round and round the yard. The boys are still very interested in S, but they were more easily distracted from that pursuit today!
Tuesday, May 27
108
Doggies are all doing just fine, maybe a little exhausted for attempted extracurricular activities! Someone decided the bed had too much filling in it though, and did their own alterations. :^) I think your tenant had his door open into the yard yesterday. I wonder if the dogs went in to visit with him?
Saturday, May 24
61
The boys are doing just fine, having fun with the new stuffed animals. R was not limping at all, and both got lots of lovin'. It's funny, C won't come near me outside, but inside he comes right over. Hmmmm......
108
I called you about S little "issue"--poor thing, I think it's driving them all frantic! They all seemed happy and healthy though!
Thursday, May 22
70
All the kitties are doing great, although eargerly awaiting your return--I told them you'd be back today :^) S has been hiding in the futon frame, so I pulled the mattress out just a bit so he wouldn't be so squished. M seems to have a little cabin fever--swiping at the other kitties, especially Ju, but Jo is above the fray, and just lays and watches calmly!
Monday, May 19
70
Life is good in the S houshold. I had a whole choir of purring kitties around my feet as I was writing the note today. And they each purr in a different pitch! S is eating some, not a lot, but he doesn't seem stressed when I'm in with him.
70
Everything has been going fine with the kitty visits (although not so much with my internet!). L has been much more outgoing than usual, which was a pleasant surprise. S still hides from me, but he does let me sit and talk, and make eye contact, without getting squirrely. C has been sneezing more than I remember, M is adamant that he MUST go out, and Jo is just his sweet self. Ju is also being sweet as usual, however yesterday he hid from me and I had to go seek him out.
Saturday, May 10
98
H and C are eagerly awaiting your return!!! H was particularly playful tonight. C started butt-scooting, she's not done that before.
93
welllll.......bad doggies tonight--except for F, he was really good. The other 3 took off into the back and didn't come back for a looooonnnnng time! But they are all safely tucked in for the night now. And, behaving very well inside. S looks great, BTW.
91
L, J, and E all were on their best manners today. Still haven't seen M, and D had a good long ramp in the grass.
83
Kitties had an impromptu visitor today--it's been SO hot I was watering the patio plants and Cloudie's old friend Lucy stopped by, and the kitties and Lucy checked each other out thru the window. Just a note--I don't think the cats are drinking very much at all...yesterday and today the tank was still pretty much full.
Friday, May 9
98
Whew! The weather has turned hot--I hope you're ready for it when you get home. Both girls were walking pretty slow by the end of tonight's walk--I told them we'd walk longer tomorrow morning when it's cool again.
91
Everything went much smoother today. D was home where I expected him to be :^) and L and J weren't irritated with each other, and displayed much better horsey manners. I also met your neighbor (the one who brings D to his house).
Thursday, May 8
91
Well, the horses are SO fiesty! Oddly, it seems that J does most of the instigating. And I got scared this AM, because D was gone! But I called your neighbor, and they had him over their house. I wish they would have left me a note.
98
C is back to her chipper little self, and I'm so glad. This longer visit has REALLY made me love your girls, and I am so sad you're moving. They have both been angels--you worried for nothing!
Wednesday, May 7
98
Stayed a long time with the girls at lunch. I think they really enjoyed it, they were feeling a little lonely. Chloe seemed more frisky this evening, but is still walking oh-so-slow on the walks, which is different for her. Still perfect behavior in the house though!
91
J got irritated with L today, while they were still at the gate, and kicked at him. But then they all went to the barn to eat and everything was good. D ate a whole bowl of food while I stayed with him in his apartment, so I left a note for whoever is taking care of the pigs, so they wouldn't worry if he didn't eat for them (I noticed they had put some lunch meat in his bowl, and taken the bowl out of the container--maybe they thought he couldn't reach it). Cats are all fine--the ones I've seen, that is--I have not seen M at all. The bungee on J stall broke, but I found one by the chicken coop.
Tuesday, May 6
91
Everyone is happy and healthy--well, healthy anyway--E seemed to be upset this morning. L and J met me at the gate and while I was scratching their noses, E came braying from the barn, running and braying the whole way. I'm guessing in donkey speak that was "Feed me!" D is doing great, although had not eaten too much--as usual for when you're gone. Kitties are all fine. What's it mean when a pig wags their tail????
98
Things are still going well, although C is subdued--I think she's getting tired of me and wants mom and dad back. I think tomorrow I'll spend some extra time there in the afternoon. But they're both behaving VERY well.
Sunday, May 4
98
WE had great weather for our walks today. They are both doing fine, settled and playful. This morning, they were playing "tag" around the coffee table (well, H was always "it", so I'm not sure you can really call it tag!) and this evening it was Tigger's turn to get thrown around. They are both eating well, and staying out of any trouble.
Friday, May 2
104
B is doing great. He's eating, although I do have to coax him a little bit. I'm using the NILF (nothing in life is free) idea....we don't play with his toys until AFTER he eats some. He's enjoying his walks, but he looks so pitiful when it's time
